Why lexi leaving greys

I thought it was a beautiful way to go. In other words, it looks like Leigh's "Grey's Anatomy" departure was an amicable one, despite how heartbreaking it was for fans of the series at the time. Fortunately, the lingering heartbreak of Lexie's death was softened a little recently, when Leigh made a surprise return appearance on "Grey's Anatomy" earlier this year.

Lexie was on the plane that crashed when she, Meredith, Cristina, Mark, Arizona Robbins Jessica Capshaw , and Derek Shepherd Patrick Dempsey were traveling to another hospital to perform surgery to separate conjoined twins. Lexie was crushed by a piece of the plane, severely injuring her pelvis, legs, and left arm. Mark stayed by her side until she died, assuring her that he loved her. She was an important member of my Grey's family.

This was not an easy decision. But it was a decision that Chyler and I came to together. As far as I'm concerned Chyler will always remain a part of the Shondaland family and I can't wait to work with her again in the future," she shared.

Viewers could see sparks every time the couple got together. But Slexie had an on-again, off-again relationship and never seemed to be on the same page. That is, until the very end. Lexie was trapped under a piece of the aircraft. She spent her final moments with Mark before passing.
